Musk now wants to buy OpenAI

He, along with other investors, offered $97.4 billion to acquire the company behind ChatGPT. CEO Sam Altman responded on X: "no thank you but we will buy twitter for $9.74 billion if you want." Musk argues OpenAI has strayed from its mission, saying, "It's time for OpenAI to return to the open-source, safety-focused force for good it once was." The bid is below OpenAI's latest valuation of $157 billion.
