Killings across 3 states shine spotlight on cultlike 'Zizian' group
The Zizians, a fringe group of radical Berkeley intellectuals, are tied to 6 murders across Vermont, Pennsylvania, and California. Their leader, Jack Amadeus "Ziz" LaSota, is on the run, but four members are in custody. Some of the members have worked at Google, and many have advocated for veganism and identify as transgender. They believe morality is optional and have debated if their goals "require sociopathy."
